Immaculate Conception - 342nd day - 23 days to come

Call from Phil Orbanes. He wanted to come by today (since snow is predicted for tomorrow) to drop off the frame (not the complete GAME) that he wants me to use as a sample for THE RIGHT WORD. But I have to go downtown. Arranged that I'd go to his house on Sunday about 12:30. He also has the models of the SPECTACULARS, which Andrea Green sent to him. Some are too easy and others impossible and Manny Lefkowitz, Andrea says, is losing interest. We'll go over them and see what we can do to get them to work right.
Phil was at the GAMES office and spoke with Ronnie Shushan (who I don't believe I met). They came up with one idea for an article on "Games That Never Should Have Been." They came up with THE TINY TIM GAME, SHA-EE, and HAPPINESS (the last 2 forced on Ideal and MB by Marvin Glass) and would like about 3 more. Phil thinks that I can find them in my collection and that we can work together on the article. I hesitated over possibly offending P. but he said that they mentioned THE TINY TIME GAME as a flop in their book
90 YEARS OF FUN. There is no hurry since it will be due 3/15/78 and the earliest. Later looked and I don't have a complete HAPPINESS. Only parts from Xerox. I mentioned DIPLOMACY for 2 but Phil said THE RIGHT WORD is much more possible.
To S.P.I. Gave my column to Brad Hessel. He'd like the next one by 1/26/78.
Spoke to Redmund Simonsen. He hears that Texas Instruments is coming out with a computer in the spring and is waiting to see it.
Sidney Ivgang gave me an envelope of foreign stamps. Took the following duplicates: 2 copies of STARFORCE TRILOGY (by mistake instead MIDDLE EARTH TRILOGY and in subway the boxes were damaged a little by the heat); boxed set of SORCERER - the hard board (and half of the board was missing). 3 duplicate copies of S&T #66. One of them had a Metagaming flyer (which I placed with my previous copy); Announced are RIVETS, WIZARD, and an upgrading of THE SPACE GAMER; Advertised are STELLAR CONQUEST, GODSFIRE, OGRE, MELEE, CHITIN: I, WARPWAR, THE YTHRI, MONSTERS! MONSTERS!.
Ran off 13 copies of my #66 column. Also ran off the rules for ANOTHER and the rules and other material for GUESS.
Spoke to David Isby. He showed me an ad for TRIAL LAWYER - told him I had it and it wasn't great. Dave thought that Richard Berg might be interested. Richard passed by and I told him that I'd be glad to give him info if he gives me a call. Not too interested.

To Summit Stationery. Bought 6 "Jet-Pak" #4 bugs - $1.08, and 1978 game diary - $3.35 (less 20% + tax).

To Felicia. When Teddy Csantos was here he wrote out a check for her expenses and told her she had to go Toronto to see "Mr. Gameways." She hates the cold but she'll go there a week from tomorrow.
She said that someone might want to send her to the "Nuremburg" Fair, and she refuses to go. I said that I would go if someone would pay for it. She asked if I would be objective in reporting on the games I saw - and then answered
