(cont. from 5/3) [5/3]

Call from Felicia. Tom Shaw told her they were taking HIGH BID and now are starting on an evaluation of BAZAAR. Told her that I'd write to Tom tomorrow - she wants a carbon for her files.
We talked about the Hallmark royalty. I said that it undoubtedly was a close-out, but at least it was nice that they paid royalties.

Call from Barbara Weinstein. The affair on 5/15 doesn't require any preparation by me. Just be there.

Call from Wald. He talked about a NYGA [New York Games Association] meeting, but he was really interested in coming over to give me a sales pitch for his new line- selling insurance. He said they were told not to try to sell friends, but to get referrals from friends. Told him - very truthfully - that I was much too busy for the next month or so.
