Call from Felicia. Tom Shaw told her they were taking HIGH BID and now are starting on an evaluation of BAZAAR. Told her that I'd write to Tom tomorrow - she wants a carbon for her files.
We talked about the Hallmark royalty. I said that it undoubtedly was a close-out, but at least it was nice that they paid royalties.

Call from Barbara Weinstein. The affair on 5/15 doesn't require any preparation by me. Just be there.

Call from Wald. He talked about a NYGA [New York Games Association] meeting, but he was really interested in coming over to give me a sales pitch for his new line- selling insurance. He said they were told not to try to sell friends, but to get referrals from friends. Told him - very truthfully - that I was much too busy for the next month or so.

Call from a business-entrepreneur {Ira Zalbe [address] who is interested in starting a magazine devoted to games. Told him that about G&P. He asked if I could give him some copies. No - I only have 1 of each. He wanted me to come down to his office in the next day or so, but I said that I would be tied up, at least thru the end of May. If I see a few free hours when I will be downtown I'll contact him about dropping in - and bringing him some copies of G&P to show him.

Called Collingwood Hotel and made reservation for Graeme Levin. He has to be there by 4 on 5/15, or a deposit is req'd [required].

The cards are numbered (large number/small number) as follows: column 1 row 1 - 2/10, 4/20; column 1 row 2 - 1/5, 6/20; column 1 row 3 - 3/15, 5/25; column 2 row 1 - 1/5, 2/10, 8/40; column 2 row 2 - 6/30, 7/35; column 2 row 3 - 3/15, 4/20; column 3 row 1 - 4/26, 3/15; column 3 row 2 - 7/35, 6/30; column 3 row 3 - 8/40, 2/10, 1/5; column 4 row 1 - 5/25, 3/15; column 4 row 2 - 6/30, 1/5; column 3 row 3 - 4/20, 2/10; additionally there is one card between column 2 and column 3 in row 2 numbered 10/50]

Each player has 20 (I believe) units. In turn players throw 3 regular and 1 special dice. The special indicates the area - from 1 to 4 in which a player can build.
