He may be looking for things for D.D.I. in June but he is
sure that he will have until September to prepare for '75.
Reiss may be looking for new product for '75 also. Looked at
what Phil had of mine there: SKYSCRAPERS, GROOVE, THE WORM TURNS.
Decided to take the following three back with me : EVEN WORSE
(because a pc. was missing), TOGETHERNESS (to write the rules),
SLIDEWORD (because there was no interest in it).
To Felicia. Took the copy of DISHABILLE, FACTOR, and the
original rules for LE JEU DU 420 - together with a short
summary in English.
Felicia called Bob Johnson at Hallmark. His secretary said he'd call back
in an hour and I waited.
Felicia called Kathy Brooks to ask about the foreign royalties.
Kathy had the fellow in financial call Felicia. He didn't know
the answer, but after I left he called again to say that our
foreign royalties are figured each time a quantity of <s>the</s> a
game is produced so that we'll get lump sums whenever this
happens. The games sold in England are included in the U.S.
totals. Felicia was told that the demand for ACQUIRE has been
good but that there is little demand for EXECUTIVE DECISION.
(Felicia called BB so this is third hand.)
All Felicia has of mine is LOTTERY, THE 31ST HEX, and PUSHOVER.
Bob Johnson called. Our checks were sent yesterday and they are
"healthy".
SPECTRUM has been well received altho there is one problem
which he thinks is just a matter of redesigning the pieces. I
told him that I would be of course happy to work with any
criticism they come up with.
This brought him to mention that he finds PE-LING too
difficult for a beginner to digest at once. He suggested a
simpler beginner's version, keeping the present game as
the advanced version. Told him that I would look at both.
If he has anything to say about it FOCUS, DUEL, and
TROMINO GO will be among the first games to come out - but
no specific date in mind yet, (or that's the way I gathered it).
HONORABLE RELATIONS is in Burt Huber's area and Bob doesn't
know its status.
I mentioned that I had some small changes in RED LETTER and
he said that he had felt something wrong in the scoring.
Felicia brought up FOREIGN INTRIGUE and then the two of them
got off on which one of the previously submitted games he
wants to see again. It is ESCAPE, not ESPIONAGE,
DOUBLE AGENT, or COUNTER INTELLIGENCE.
He said he'd like to see THE BRAIN GAME.
<s>He started</s> The matter of advertising came up and he
