Rcd. my NOST membership card - 9/1/73 - 8/31/74.
Rcd. a letter from an S & T reader who wants to buy a
copy of AGOG. The letter was sent by Al Nofi. I think it
is from England, but am not sure. The writer mentions
that he enclosed an "International reply coupon."
Rcd. G & P #17. Articles and Gamesviews on: - FOX & GEESE,
SOLITAIRE, DECLINE & FALL, SKITTLES, FOIL, MATTIX,
NUMBERS UP, TABLE SOCCER, plus the standards. Also PENTOMINOES.

Claude returned the book HANKY PANKY.

Call from Bob Gellman. He thought I'd be in today. Told him
I'd drop in Monday. We'll bring a "Gamut" game to show the
jig saw arrangement and also the 3M measurements of their box.
Bob said that he had gotten together with Felicia and Herb Roth was
there. He, Bob, mentioned that he had heard that D.O.I [?] was being
taken over by Bob Reiss. Herb said that it positively wasn't so.
I said that I had heard some rumors, but that I never say
anything unless I am told that it is not confidential.

played TABLUT. In connection with the version they are
putting out, they found that the escaping side had an
almost insurmountable advantage. I told him about the
version FREEDOM'S CONTEST, OR THE BATTLE OF THE UNION (see 8/3/63).
He said that had determined that the King's move should be
limited to 3 spaces, as in that game. They also do not allow
the King to capture when he moves, altho he can be used as
the stationary member in a custudian capture.
Phil has a date next Wednesday with Jay Peterson, Hoi
Polloi's art director, to go over the p & p games, bypassing
Carl, who is too busy with other things. Carl said to forget
about what he had previously rejected. So Phil said he has over
40 things to show.
Phil will call me after the meeting, probably on Thursday.
