18 Wednesday - July 1973
199th Day - 186 Days to Come
To R.G.I. Spoke to Bob Gellman. He gave me a copy of
their contract form - actually the old one before Bob
Schneider's death - to show to Felicia to see if it is O.K.
with us. Also took a copy of the material on the back
of the box of PATTON.
Bob asked me if I had any card GAMEs for their $3 line. He
doesn't want any abstract games, only those with a theme.
A stock market game (PROFIT) is O.K., except that he
said there should be up to 35 cards in color or 70 (I believe)
in black and white. The
Then he asked if I could come up with a game just using
the HOLIDAY cards. So far he has rcd. [received] orders for only
800 copies (against 5000 for PATTON). He intends to print
5000 HOLIDAY, but is not sure if he can sell them.
He had a letter from Gini Scott asking for review copies of
PATTON and HOLIDAY for her column in SIMULATION/GAMING/NEWS.
He'll send them as soon as they are ready.
There was a fellow there who had shown a game called
WORD-A-BILITY. He developed this while working for the outfit
that put out ROAD-A-BILITY (see 3/4/69). I [illegible word crossed out] gathered that
they are pretty much out of business and that this fellow was
allowed to market the game on his own.
He told me that he also has a GAME system to play a
lot of different sports games using flicked checked.
Bob was going to send him to Felicia and asked me if
there was any other agents I could recommend. No.
Bob said he'd probably be coming out with a gambling GAME.
Stopped at Felicia's. Not in.
