Wrote to Nostmaster Bob Luuzon and sent 35¢ for the missing NOST-ALGIA #158.

Thought of a p & p game based on my COMBINATION solitaire. Played it with BB. Used 2 dice to determine the numbers that can be written. They are thrown only once. On a player's turn he moves 1 of the dice to the next highest number. From a 6 I originally had a move to 1 but this kept one player with an even total, the other with an odd. Fixed this by allowing a move from 6 to either 1 or 2. (Not a complete description.) BB liked it.

Played POWER NETWORK and 11 RACES with Phil Laurence. Then started a game of LAPS with the 4 of us. Bogged down and we stopped it. Played most of a game of 11 RACES but it ran quite long and we quit before finishing. BB suggested shortening the paths.
Gave them a copy of VEGAS 13, CHINESECHEK, DAM-IT!, WORDPLAY, and NINETACTOE.

getting one point for each space away.
As an extension of this idea Wald had a rectangular field with inclines on all 4 side. Object is to get as many "spools" oscillating as possible, without hitting each other.
Wald had ideas for starting a "game club" and I tried to keep him down to earth.
He is working with a company that has put out a word game - WORDMATE. There are (I believe) 13 dials with all 26 letters on each and other dials for keeping score. Standard games, such as GHOSTS and HANGMAN, can be played using this. Wald will help selling it at first (they have sold some 10,000 already) and then, once they are in the stores he will try and do some P.R. work for them.
