Call from Felicia. Some people are bringing another
"Watergate" game to her (later discovered that the name was
THE WATERGATE SCANDAL CAPER. Herb Roth would be interested in selling
it and she wants my opinion of the game. Appointment to look
at it this coming Thursday at 2:00 p.m. I'll bring SPECTRUM
with me. If I can't have the rules finished I'll bring the
model and then send the rules myself later.
Letter to Burt Huber. Included the solution layout for THE RIGHT
FITTING & PROPER and also two layouts for THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS
and two set ups for FITTING & PROPER. Mentioned HONORABLE RELATIONS.
Started a letter to Bob Johnson on HONORABLE RELATIONS.
Tried a game of HONORABLE RELATIONS with Dale. Starting
with a random placement of pieces according to one of
the puzzle sheets (the area used that is). Players in
turn switch two adjacent tiles, or in a straight line if
there are turned - over tiles between, and then choose one
to turn over. Score according to the adjacent tiles, including
those turned over. Score most for [arrow pointing both left and right] and score minus for
II. First switch must include the tile in a pre-determined corner.
After this the tile not turned over in a turn must be used
in the next switch. (It was dull and tedious.)
Tried some variations by myself but couldn't get anything
worthwhile.
Another call from Felicia.
