145th Day - 220 Days to Come

Early call from Felicia. She was caught in an elevator yesterday. Told her about my meeting with Bob Johnson. She asked if I had talked about LOTTERY. Told her that I forgot. She'll show it to them some other time.

To R.G.I. Went over the changes in the PATTON board with Rick Lewis and he fixed them. Bob Gellman said that he wants to do MACARTHUR next year. A similar game system is fine with him. Would like it done by beginning of Dec. of this year so that he can make the Sears, etc. catalogs.
To "Gamut of Games." Spoke to Phil about Bob Reiss wanting me to get in on the creation of "premiums." He is going to try to do it himself, with the money all going into "Gamut of Games." He'll work it out with Bob Reiss.
I mentioned that it is surprising that Bill Knox has published Gini Scott's TURNABOUT. Phil doesn't think he is giving her royalties, even tho he said to me that it is hers. Phil says he claims it is in public domain.
Took copies of MONTAGE, INFINITY, REALM (Phil says the pcs. [pieces] will be improved, and CARTEL (11 black markers missing). Also took copies of the old BRIDGETTE package and two MYWORD. Also took glossies of the 4 new games.
Phil will call and set up a date for the 4 of us to get together to play COLLECTOR'S CHOICE, so that he can take it to Hawaii to show to Djoli. I asked if we should work out the collector's items before. No, because Djoli wants to do something on each game so that he can collect a small royalty (which wouldn't come out of mine).

To Brentano's with idea of showing Dorothy Shapiro the folder on NETRESULTS and GREATSHAPES. Not in. Left word that I was there.
Looked at a poster game, WATERGATE. It is a track game played with dice (which are not included). Being sent back and losing turns is lucky, since the end of the track is "jail."
To F.A.O. Schwartz, Argosy Book Store, and Bloomingdale's. Nothing new.

Picked up my father's translation of 50 GIER NA KOLOR 50 GIER NA KOLOROWYCH PLANSZACH. Glancing thru it I found that SZACHY MAKARENKI (named for the inventor) is an interesting CHESS variation.

While I was out Jack Davis called. He has something interesting to tell me about 6/14. I'm to call next Tuesday.

Call from Claude. Asked is a knew of the "American Greetings" games Yes. He has a copy of a book GODS AND GAMES to give me next time we get together. I didn't sign the last EXECUTIVE DECISION check.
