Called <u>Felicia</u> in morning.
Called <u>Felicia</u> in morning. Told her about <u>HABITAT</u>, <u>GROOVE</u>, and
<u>HOLEY TERROR</u> (II) with House of Games and <u>TAKE-A-WORD</u> with
Waddingtons. When I told her of Waddingtons 2 1/2% royalties she
got on her high horse and said that that's what happens when I
try to handle the business myself. I answered that I have no
commitment to give him the game and that is why I am asking
her as my agent whether I should give it to him. She backed down
and said that Waddington is a reputable company and that they
would probably sell enough to make us some money at 2 1/2%
<br>I mentioned seeing <u>Jerry Green</u> of the Puzzle Factory and
that <u>TAKE-A-WORD</u> would probably be just right for them. She said
to forget about the Puzzle Factory - they don't pay royalties.
We have a date Thursday at 1 to get together with <u>Bob Johnson</u>.
<br>Call from <u>Bob Gellman</u>. He has Rick Lewis' art work on the
<u>PATTON</u> board and is ready to send it in for plates. I said
that I was supposed to have been contacted to check the preliminary.
He said to come today, which I did. Found some errors
and some things that I'd like changed. He called Rick
and set up a date for Thursday at 3:30.// He wants the rules
by 6/1 by the latest. Also the historical material.
<br>To Stationery Show. To Gameophiles and started looking at rules
for <u>FLIP & FLOP</u>.
<br>Then <u>Tom Atwater</u> and <u>Alex Randolph</u> stopped by and I went
off with them. The only new thing Alex has in the
U.S. this year is <u>MOEBIES</u>. He has two things coming out in
Germany this year with Ravensburg: - <u>BANDA</u> (<u>OFF COURSE</u>),
and <u>TING TONG</u> (a children's memory game with objects hidden under
bells). In 1974 he has the following coming out: - <u>CORONA</u>
(<u>ROUND THE CLOCK</u>), <u>QUARO</u> (<u>SPOTS</u> - but improved), <u>HEPTAD</u> (7 puzzles
on one side of the board and a game on the other side-
all having something to do with the number 7), <u>TOPPY</u> (He prefers
the name <u>TOP DOG</u>. There is a 21 space path.
