1 Sunday - April 1973
Fourth Sunday in Lent - 91st Day - 274 Days to Come

Going over the "Sicily" map for PATTON. Added more "desertion" cities. Played with BB and she almost succeeded in slamming right thru with 5 armored units. I played by myself checking whether the axis could win by setting their forces up around Mt. Etna. It didn't work.

Called Arthur. He told me that Wald was hit by a car on Jan. [January] 19th and has been in the hospital since then.
I asked about BALANCE OF POWER. It looks as if Hasbro has been stalling. Strongin is going to go there and get either a check or a "No." Arthur thinks it will be the latter.

Claude called. There is an ad in the TIMES for someone to work on evaluating children's toys. The salary is $170 a week. Claude thinks it might be worth while trying to find out which company it is (an agency put in the ad) for a possibility of consulting work. I didn't think there was any point in looking into it. Claude said he would (but didn't).

Bob Gellman said that he was having some problems with his reps selling PATTON, HOLIDAY, and MOVIE MOGULS and had a date today with Bob Reiss with the idea of his taking over those three games. He asked what I knew about Reiss. Told him about NINE OF SWORDS, Hoi Polloi, Gamut of Games, etc. He'll let me know the date comes out.
Jed Gaines came up in the talk and I said that he had left "Gamut of Games" so that they could have Reiss as a rep. [representative]

To AIN Plastics on 4th Ave. to get plastic for 3D BOXES. Also a cutting tool and some glue - $8.70.

Called Felicia and she hadn't heard anything about Bill Garrity yet.

To "Gamut of Games." Final checking of the INFINITY rules with Phil Orbanes.
Took another copy of MYWORD!
