25 Sunday - February 1973
Eighth Sunday after Epiphany - 56th Day - 309 Days to Come
Drove Jerry to Kennedy. Then to a bazaar in Sunnyside with BB, Dana, and Edith. Bought some game equipment. Bought Sport's Illustrated's COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME for $3. Even tho it was shrink wrapped the rules and half of the team charts were missing.
Felicia called. She spoke to Keith Tuggle. He is interested in seeing
HABITAT and THE BRAIN GAME. He wants to be the first to see
something so Felicia said not to say anything. At first she
suggested that I go to Parker's tomorrow morning to ask Bill
Dohrmann for HABITAT back. Then we agreed that she would call
Bill and I'd go to her office first and then, if it was O.K. with
Bill I'd pick it up. I'll go to Keith in the afternoon.
Felicia went to the Statler Hilton and told me some things to
look for. David E. Kribs invented a game called BEAT THE MARKET
and the one who is manufacturing it may want Felicia to do some
promotion for him. Kribs has heard of me and wants to meet me.
Looked it up and found that I had a game called BEAT THE MARKET
by Clever Games which I rcd. [received] in 1969. (Later found out that it
was a different game.)
Spent some time on a subway reading the book on PATTON.

-Eltron. Spoke to Mr. Glaeser. He gave me a copy of QUADTRIPLE and will send a
glossy. Took info and there is a statement that other GAMEs
will be coming out this year. Told him about Roger Verhulst.
-Comspec. An Action BASKETBALL game called PRO-PELLET which
uses static electric. Took sheet.
-Educational Game Co. of America. SPELL-BOUND - an educational game
for children. Didn't see but took sheet.
-SUPER-CHEX - Felicia mentioned this yesterday. It is only a giant size
CHECKERS set.
Back to Felicia. [arrow indicating to insert line above] David Kribs came as I came. Actually the trip was mainly to meet me, which he already did. [end of inserted line] Bill Dohrmann had been in and took two of Dennis
Ladouceur's games for consideration, both of which Dennis brought
in this morning. PRIME TIME and BUS STOP - a redo of CONTRACT.
Bill said that he hadn't had a chance to study HABITAT but we can
have it back. Over to Parker showroom to get it - altho Bill not there.
Felicia saw BEAT THE BORDER in my bag and asked if it was mine.
Back to Statler Hilton. To American Greetings. Spoke to R. Stephan
Harman, Advertising Manager. Showed him S&T and promised to
send him a copy. He'll send me copies of the games. Took an
ad sheet (same as last year's) with NIX, DEADLOCK, LINK-UP,
CONTROLLING INTEREST, CHESS 'N CHECKERS, POUNCE, FAIR SHARE,
BROKEN ENGLISH, UPON-MY-WORD, and DE-TOUR. Looked at an open
board of the last one and it looked pretty much like a plain race
game with a travel motif.
