Washington's Birthday Celebration - 50th Day - 315 Days to Come

Made a new set of company cards for THE BRAIN GAME, using white cardboard instead of the wood grain.
Trimmed a little off the height of the HABITAT box, so that the model would be held in place better.

MULLIGAN - Wouldn't even look at it because of BYZANTIUM, even tho I said it was different and much better.
DOODLE BUILDER - Much too expensive.
SPELLBINDER - Didn't care for it.
LOTTERY - Didn't want to look at it since they are working on one in house. Their first attempt didn't work out. If their second doesn't, he will contact Felicia to send it.
KING SOLOMON'S DIVERSION - Too much like.
PAIR OFF - Too abstract.
Bill Garrity, of Schaper, in just as Dick Harris was leaving. Felicia showed the following: -
A CHIIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK - which Bill pointed out (very pleasantly) was very much like their HUMPTY DUMPTY.
PUSHOVER and FREE FORM. Played them both well and liked them. In FREE FORM the game continued a long time and we stopped. If OPTILE does well at the show they will want to consider one or both of mine as follows ups for next year. He'll be back towards the end of March to try them again. Would like me to suggest other names.
UPSTAGE - Played a full game but he didn't think enough happened.
HABITAT - Not different enough.
Felicia asked my opinion of "A Gamut of Games" (Jed Gaines goes to her dentist). I told her that I have been doing consulting work for them and that they may in the future put out some of my things. She took this without any hostility. She said she'd like to show some other things to them and I certainly didn't object.

Jerry D'Arcey called me at Felicia's and we arranged to meet at 2 in 200 5th Ave. lobby. Frank Thibault there too. Ate at Chock Full of Nuts. My suggestion - Jerry's treat. Arranged to meet, with BB, at their hotel room tomorrow. In lobby of 200 5th met Gini Scott and I introduced them. They'll take Gini out tonight.
Gini and I up to Bob Gellman at R.G.I. He had the boxes out for PATTON and HOLIDAY. He estimates sales of about 25,000 and 20,000 for the year for the two of them. I told him about Felicia's being upset about him not givin bringing her the HOLIDAY box as promised. He said he had 18, and needed them for his salesman. I suggested that he call Felicia. I took two copies of his ad folder, one for Felicia. I told Bob that I am working on PATTON. Gini wa I can come up with a good game but making it authentic is something else. He wasn't worried.
Gini was showing him some games by other inventors so I left.
To M.B. Mickie Mackay showed me around and gave me a folder.
