8th Day - 357 Days to Come
Rcd. [received] a letter from Roger Verhulst. He asked if the Toy Fair was worth visiting. He sent me a copy of his 12/29/72 column covering the following games - WHO CAN BEAT NIXON?, MONOPOLY, RISQUE, BUMPS 'N GRINDS, WOMEN'S LIB, THE HOWARD HUGHES GAME, THE BRIDE'S GAME, EXTINCTION. He'll send me a set of his columns as soon as he can get them together.
Went over my income for '72, capital gains and regular. Called Leonard Willett and we decided that I should send $1,000 on my estimated to the federal. He'll send me a filled out form. He'll also write to the N.Y. State people again.
Went over the rules of EXECUTIVE DECISION I rcd. from Kathy Brooks Saturday. Came up with some improvements, including something I hadn't thought of before. Called Kathy and went over the changes. She liked the way I now treated minimum bids.
Called TWA and learned that round trip fare to Chicago was
$122.
Called Larry Blandin of INTERNATIONAL GAME SHOW collect. Got
answering service and left word for him to call me tomorrow
morning or all day Wednesday.
At Korvettes bought 14 of the boxes (see 1/6) for $1.00 each. BB took 2 and put 12 in the basement, getting rid of some of the miscellaneous boxes.

diagonal direction and the hunter picks the direction and the
number of spaces. Then the positions are revealed. If the Lion
is in the same space as the Hunter he has killed him and
collects from him the number of points (francs) as the number
on the space. If the lion has been hit by a shot the hunter
collects the number of points in the space occupied by the lion.
And neither collects if there is no contact. When the Lion kills
the Hunter he collects the Lion's share. When the Lion is hit the
round continues (?). Also if no contact. In a continuation the
Hunter secretly moves 2 orthogonal spaces, being allowed to
make a 90° turn. I believe, the Lion moves one space. At the
end of the round the players switch roles. (Felicia kept this
to show to Ed-U-Cards.)
Saw a description of THE TOM TIT PUZZLE. There are 15 dice with
different arrangements of the 6 numbers and also different
color arrangements. A number of different puzzles of
the INSTANT INSANITY type are proposed by taking a number
of dice from the set. For example to get 5 dice which
can be put together to get 13 along each side. Then
