24 WEDNESDAY - MAY 1972
145TH DAY - 221 DAYS TO COME
To Simulations. Got HABITAT and HONORABLE RELATIONS from
Phil Orbanes. Also took the following copies of S & T - 1 each
of #25, #26, #27, #28, #29, & #30; 3 of #31.
To Stationery Show and saw Bill Knox. Showed him HABITAT. He liked
the appearance but said the puzzle was frightening. He
suggested pieces being the same - 4 types would be ideal from
a molding point of view. Told him I'd work on it.
Bob Hallowell stopped by while I was showing it and said that Reiss
hadn't cared for it.
To Durand (who handles THE GREAT DOWNHILL SKI GAME). The only new
game is HUSTLER a golf game with a figure that hits the
ball.
To Cornwall Industries. Saw CAPABLANCA CONCENTRIC CHESS. It
is on a circular board, but is played the same as if the sides of
a regular board were joined (king's rook considered adjacent
to queen's rook column). Took my card to send me info.
To S.J. Miller. His new item is a set of TANGRAMS
SILHOUETTES.
To Hansen. Spoke to Mr. Tripp again and he gave me a
review copy of LAND-BARON. Would like to know in advance
when the review is coming and then a tear-sheet. Since
they also handle THE GREAT DOWNHILL SKI GAME and Gini Scott's
CONFRONTATION, he would like copies of those reviews.
Took a folder for "Peterson Games" which a large number
of attractive small games and puzzles. Among others : -
SCHPOTZ,
