Long call
Long call from Claude. Nothing about specific games. He tried to
talk me into having form letters to answer those who write to me.

Call from Bob Gellman and I called back. Discussed size and
layout of cards for HOLIDAY. I'll go to his office next Monday
at 10:00 to go over the slides and days, etc. Then we'll go
to JoanSilbert's and wind up the project.
I asked him if Bob Schneider and prepared a proposal for
my working on SCOTLAND YARD. He'll see him about it tomorrow.
Call from Felicia. She is getting a game in tomorrow called
URBAN RENEWAL. Since I'll be in town I'll drop in and take a
look at it.
(cont. from 5/5) [5/5]

On Tuesday, Felicia had mentioned quickly that Harry Gardner (Gold Medal Books, see 7/8/71) was interested in my
doing a book. I asked her about it and she said that it
is a book on things that can keep children interested.
Much less highbrow than ''AGOG''. But she'll check further
with him. I also mentioned my contractual obligations with
Random House, but I think we can get around these.
Felicia showed me a letter from Norton Cross of Stancraft. He
was interested in Flach's WINDOWS and suggested some
modifications. He said that they would be promoting their
new card games together with their regular card line
and there will be a lot of promotion. But talking to her in
person he let her know that he wasn't at all sure that he'd
be able to straighten Stancraft out.
Took AIRLINE from Felicia. She agreed that it had been everywhere.
At Arco looked at a hard-cover book ''ANTIQUE TOYS AND THEIR BACKGROUND.
Fairly good history of various toys, novelties, and games.
Many Illustrations. $20.
Rcd. a letter (addressed to Castle Books - Random House, New York and
resent it to me by Random House) asking about ULTIMA and
where to get ABBOTT'S NEW CARD GAMES.
Stopped at Skunk Works. Got business cards with me as "Associate
Editor", some stationery, and copy of ''MOVES'' #2.
Saw Phil. Nothing new from Bill Knox on GROOVE, etc.
