Made a 1/4" layout
Made a 1/4" layout of the area for the Xerox exhibit and  <br>
cardboard cutouts of the various games.
 
Working on a new layout for <u>AIR BATTLE</u>, eliminating the  <br>
factories. Added scoring areas on the four edges of the  <br>
<u>DRILL FOR OIL</u> layout.
 
Called <u>Earl</u>. I go there Thursday evening. Told him I'd like to  <br>
test some of the pencil & paper games.  <br>
The man from Japan he was introduced to has returned. His  <br>
company is definitely interest[ed] in our games, and is studying  <br>
the possibilities.  <br>
Called <u>Claude</u> to tell him of date Thursday.

The amount of one die or the other can be moved for each  <br>
planet or the planet can stay put. <s>When</s> The path is about  <br>
20 spaces long with 2 legs next to each other with  <br>
arrows showing a counterclockwise motion around the closed path.  <br>
When a player gets the four planets into the order matching his  <br>
card he gets a card with one of the 4 elements,  <br>
corresponding to the space the sun marker is on. Win by getting  <br>
all four elements. (Fairly rough idea.)  <br>
Played <u>COLD WAR</u>, <u>HEXOWORD</u>, and <u>TOURNEY</u>. In first they suggested  <br>
completing with 4. In last <u>Claude</u> went all over the board at  <br>
first and then won with a series of free moves.
 
On Broadway near 15th St. bought the Feb. 1970 ''<u>SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN</u>''  <br>
for 50 [cents], by mistake instead of Feb. 1971.
