'''28 FRIDAY - JANUARY 1972'''
28TH DAY - 338 DAYS TO COME
----
Call from Felicia. She wondered if $62.50 was correct for her
check for FITTING & PROPER. I told her it was.
I asked if I should send a disclosure form to 3M for
FOREIGN INTRIGUE but she said that she had already sent one.

Finished the rules for LAWSUIT and wrote a letter to
Lester Gendron. BB typed them and they were mailed at
night.
Sent the check for FITTING & PROPER back to Bob Edwards
with a short note.
Phil Orbanes called after his lunch with Bob Hallowell. Bob's
designer has come up with a new concept for packaging
pencil and paper games, both individually and in sets. I asked when he
expected the games I was doing (AIR BATTLE, etc.). Phil said that
the middle of February would be fine.
Phil will get a check for NINE OF SWORDS next Wednesday when
they get together again.
Reiss wants Hallowell to do standards such as CHECKERS and
CHINESE CHECKERS. Stores have to buy them somewheres.
Hoi Polloi is still very anxious for wood items.
Rcd. a letter from Martin Gardner with an ad for a new English
Magazine ''GAMES & PUZZLES''. Also a letter asking him to contribute.
(He didn't bother answering.)
Played part of a game of THE NEXT PRESIDENT with Dale and Phil.
(Dale hated it.)
Played MR. PRESIDENT with BB. (Stayed up till about 4.)
----
(cont. from 1/30) [2/3]
a review of ALEXANDER THE GREAT, a preview of an upcoming
game THE SPIRIT OF '76 (which will be in the next issue), an ad
for VICTORY AT SEA, a variation on FOOTBALL STRATEGY, and ads for
two booklets, ''FAST RULES'', ''HARDTACK''.
Rcd. a carbon copy of a letter from Thomas Shaw of A.H. to
Thomas Tincher of ''BOOK WORLD'' concerning my column.
The copies of SHOVE IT and TENNIS ANYONE? arrived (see 1/21).
On my way to Bob Gellman stopped in at S & R to talk to
Lee Tiffany. As soon as I know the date and place I
am to write to him about sending the large size RSVP
and SCRABBLE FOR JUNIORS.
