THURSDAY 12 NOVEMBER
1970 316th day - 49 days to come
Finished VENTURE and then wrote up QUERIES 'N THEORIES, MEM,
BYZANTIUM and PLOY. Later decided that I wasn't sat-
isfied with the ending of the latter.
Jack Davis called. CBS radio is interested on a program or pos-
sibly a series on games before X'Mas, and Jack interested
them in me. He wants me to call them & I said I'd do
it tomorrow since I was so busy today. He'll call them
and tell them.
{ "John Ward," CBS Radio, 765-4321, Ext. 4353
Jack finally got ACQUIRE to Marvin Katz, who told
him it was one of the best games he ever player [played]. There
is still not date on the GRIT piece. They aren't using
color, however, and Marvin sent the color pictures to Jack.
Rcd. a letter from Haar Hoolim.
Rcd. a letter from Mrs. Kellen that she hasn't spoke to
Keith Tuggle yet. She also sent me the label from the
latest ACQUIRE, which has been fixed to show a chain
marker on the one on which it had been missing.
Felicia called. She had a letter from Jim Kraus. There is a
problem with PROFIT, fitting the money into the Gamette
box. But there is no hurry with it. He also mentioned
that liked TORTS - THE GAME OF LAWSUITS.
She told Bob Edwards that I had a pile of 2-hand
strategy GAMEs. He wants to see them all. I
told Felicia that it will take me a while to get them
in shape. She said the sooner the better.
I suggested some of the games in AGOG, but she
said they have to have a model.
A friend of Larry Winters came there with a sex GAME.
Later she called me to ask about "Diplomat," a company
I told her about that does sex oriented games. I
looked at the sheet I got from "Gamesters" and I
saw that the games are distributed by "Golden Magic
Wand."
The game she was shown was just a path game and
quite raw. She didn't want to handle it.
Called Mickie Mackay. Told her I was doing CARDINO
for BOOK WORLD and needed the list price. It lists for
about $5.50, but is always sold for less. She is just
as happy to have that price noted and then buyers
will think they are getting a bargain. She is pleased
I am covering it, since it needs help. Asked about a copy for
Claude. She was ready to mail me as many as I want. Told her I'd pick
up two when I was back on my feet.
