December 1976 - Saturday 18
353rd day - 13 days to come

Letter from Graeme Levin, asking about Toy Fair. He'll bring game for me when he comes.
Call from Bob Gellman with a question on how to set up KONO.
Thought of the idea of using plastic overlays for WIRETAP, both for the one setting up and the one solving the setup. Number tiles will keep track of the info rcd. It will be necessary to have one of each, rather than two setups working at the same time as with the p & p version.
Also, to call for more deduction, a player can ask for the con- tents of an entire row or column - not in order of course - instead of asking for a specific space.
Went thru game duplicates downstairs and came up with MYWORD! and CARTEL to bring as present for Ritchie Soucie. Also took out STAR REPORTER, to give to Phil Orbanes.
To Claude's in evening for supper. Earl Perel (and a girl friend and her son) and Issy Rothman (and Betty and Barbara) there too. Gave Claude his cut of the last EXECUTIVE DECISION royalty. Played PEACE CONFERENCE. Issy and Earl played entire game. A friend of Ritchie's started and then was replaced by Earl's girl friend's son. Claude started and I replaced him. Ritchie saw BAZAAR in a neighborhood store. I asked Claude to pick up a copy (for Carla Evans) regardless of the price. Claude gave me the Dec. '76 Scientific American.

the number of letters in the word or the number of times it appears - without specifying. Score is based on the two numbers multiplied, but didn't get details.
Saw a box with Andy Luftig's SUSPENSE. It looked interesting but complex. Felicia said that it is a good idea, but there is something lacking. Andy will split with me if I can fix it. Will look at it when I get a little free time.
