December 1975 - Friday 5
339th day - 26 days to come
Rcd. letter from Wade E. Philpott. Thanked me for Wesley Hosken's
parent's address. Mentioned Martin Gardner and possability [sic]
of getting together next time he, Wade, visits his daughter.
Rcd. registered letter from Haar Huolim. He rcd. the BEYOND TIC TAC TOE
copies. (He wasn't greatly impressed.) Mentions Martin Gardner, his
CROSSOVER PUZZLE, SEEGA, STACKS, CHINESE MATCHING CARDS, G&P,
TRIPPPLES, REVERSI, THE L-GAME, NEWSWEEK Mag., ADDIQUE, POLY,
EPAMINONDAS, KING OF THE CASTLE, BARRICADE, Dr. Tauber.
Enclosed newspaper article on Mordechai Meirowitz, the inventor of
MASTER MIND; The article on ADDIQUE from Newswe NEWSWEEK Mag.
Call from Bob Gellman. He rcd. a letter from 3M asking if
RGI would be interest in buying the 3M line. He'll send me
a repro. He asked me which were the best sellers and I
told him AQUIRE, TWIXT, FACTS IN FIVE, and SLEUTH. He said
that FACTS IN FIVE wasn't listed on the letter from 3M.
He'll call 3M to see what other info he can get, and he'll call me again.
In afternoon called Bob, but he was out with a client.
At Dale's apt. played CARD BASEBALL with her. She liked it a
lot altho I was way ahead and she conceded in about the
8th inning.
I found that "Hit by Pitcher" happened too often.

gether with Jules Cooper of Ideal. Phil asked him about THE BOSS and Jules
said that it didn't sell. He thinks it is a great idea, however, and
next year they are coming out with another game of a similar nature.
He asked if I have heard anything about the SPECTACULARS, and the "other
project." No on the first, and not much on the second.
He'd like to look at some of the games in my collection and get repros
of some of the rules. Among them - SCOOP (P); PARK & SHOP, the original
version, it is still in the M.B. line but a simplified $2 version;
DRAGNET (Transogram), CALLING SUPERMAN (Trans.)
He had an old game in his office - which he had sealed in a
shrink wrap or something like it: THE LINDY FLYING GAME. He
said it was an inferior imitation of TOURING. It was put out
by Nucraft Toys - Wakefield, Mass.
He still has hopes that THE 6 PACK -- will sell packaged indivi-
dually. He said that they made a mistake in using the green on
the box and for all the pads. It is not a color that attracts
attention (which BB said as soon as she saw the box).
I asked if it would be O.K. to use FINANCIER in G&P. Sure,
as long as credits are given.
The article on me in SALES MANAGEMENT magazine was where
he first learned about me. (How did this come up?)
He plans for next year:
