Saw the following book which has a good collection, among
other things, of card games, particularity gambling.

Clande bought me a CHESS THE STORY OF CHESS PIECES FROM
ANTIQUITY TO MODERN TIMES: We both felt that, tho it doesn't
have any new game material, it might be impressive for
impressing possible spousers of my research. ([crossed out] Pages
23 to 26 of the descriptive material are missing, but do not
appear to be torn out.) '[Filed and placed on shelf ]
Looked at HEXES (Spear) but thought I had seen it so
didn't buy it. (checked at home but didn't have any info
on it.) [But see 10/30/64]
At home found the following in a the mail : -
October PLAYTHINGS.
Letter from Audrey Pierce asking if 11 A.M. on Oct, 24 would
be o.k. for an interview by a newspaper syndicate.
Letter from KMS saying that all their games would be handled
by Funtastic and that the latter would be contacting
soon. (Looked more like a letter they would send to
a a past buyer.)
Letter from John Geiger. He is going to put out METROPLAN
on his own and would like to talk to me further. He'll
call to set up a date.
Claude borrowed the sheets with patent into I got
from Alice, the one which mentioned CAMPAIGN
