To "Gamut of Games." <u>Phil</u> told me that <u>BACKGAMMON</u> at present
is amounting to 60% of their business. They expect
to sell about 15,000 each of <u>CAR-TEL</u> (which is currently doing
the best of the 4 new games), <u>REALM</u>, <u>MONTAGE</u>, and <u>INFINITY</u>
(which was not included in the stuffer prepared by Reiss.
<br>Hoi Polloi will not be putting out any board games; instead
will get them all from "Gamut." They have a very generous
bonus system for selling a certain amount of each title.
<br>Played the following games:
<br>-<u>POWER NETWORK</u>. Played twice. <u>Phil</u> suggested an optional rule
that a player can choose a "secret space" and does not have
to divulge information on that space. Didn't try it.
<br>To make guessing dangerous I thought of giving a player
1 point (or a single win) for getting the opponent's layout.
If a player gets an incorrect layout the opponent score
2 points (double win). It is possible to score both ways
for 3 points (triple win).
<br>Tried to come up with a catchy name - best so far <u>WIRETAP</u>.
<br>-<u>PAYOFF</u> (Phil's). The board consists of 36 spaces, set in a
6x6 layout and numbered 11, 12... 66. Players in turn
throw three dice - 2 white and one red. They combine
