Rcd. [received] G&P #16, the one with SIGMA FILE, THE PHILOSOPHERS' GAME, etc.
Rcd. PLAYTHINGS (Aug.). "Showcase/Toys" listed ODYSSEY, the Magnavox TV game, and a new game called INTERPLANETARY VOYAGE.
Rcd. a letter from Graeme Levin asking me to become an (unpaid) consultant for G&P.
Rcd. a letter from "Lowry Enterprises" advertising the "Down East Wargamers Convention." Among the games to be played are FIGHT IN THE SKIES, STALINGRAD, QUEBEC 1759, DIPLOMACY, DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP.
Another letter from "Lowry Enterprises" reminding me that my PANZERFAUST subscription had expired. Also enclosed a catalog with ads for the following booklets: CHAINMAIL, FAST RULES, TRACTICS, HARDTACK, DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP, GROSSTAKTIK, IRONCLAD; and the following games: FIGHT IN THE SKIES, THE INVASION OF SICILY, ALEXANDER THE GREAT, DUNKIRK, THE BATTLE OF FRANCE, ATLANTA, ALEXANDER'S OTHER BATTLES, OPERATION GRIEF.

Called Phil Orbanes. He was sick yesterday and didn't see Carl Eisenberg. That is why, he said, he wasn't in a good mood when I dropped in Wednesday. I asked about the games, 6 of each of REALM, CARTEL, MONTAGE, INFINITY, and BRIDGETTE, he said he was sending me. He already put in the request and will check on what is holding it up.

Claude bought me a book (on American art in 20th Cent. [century] for $2) as a thank you for pushing him to submit DUEL.

Thinking of ideas to simplify FOREIGN INTRIGUE. All the players could be seated together and in turn pass 3 assignment cards secretly to an opponent of their choice, who can pass number 1 and 2 if they wish. To be worked out.

The package came from R.G.I. - via UPS - with 2 copies of HOLIDAY and MOVIE MOGULS (why?). My and Ruth's name were not included in the HOLIDAY rules!

Started working on the PUSHOVER puzzle - or rather solitaire. Every 4th pc. pushed over belongs to the player, object to get 54 points, or as close as possible to it.

Call from Fay Baker. Her daughter Amy has an idea for forming "animal boxes" out of sheets of cardboard. She'd like me to look at them and encourage her to make better models. I told her
