6 SUNDAY - AUGUST 1972
TENTH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY - TRANSFIGURATION - 147 DAYS TO COME

Finished the JUNGLE RACE rules.
Wrote to Karen Kelley with my suggestion for optional rules
for EXECUTIVE DECISION. Also mentioned my 2-hand version of
SLEUTH that I sent to Kathy Brooks.
Wrote to Tom Atwater telling him I would send some of the
TRIOKER material, but not all. Asked him to send me the repros
of the TEMPO, ODD OR EVEN, and INTERPLAY contracts.

Phil Orbanes called. BB and I will go to his house on 8/12 to go over
the p. & p. games for Hoi Polloi.
2nd call and we discussed three of his game ideas : WORLD TRADE,
DOUBLE THINK and GREAT WALL OF CHINA. I told him about some
of my ideas and we each had suggestions. I said that since it
would be hard to determine the proper sharing of credit for
the games, we should makle it an even split. He appreciated the
suggestion.

Claude called to check if it was O.K. to send Marty to pick
up one of my two copies of THE BOSS tomorrow. Sure.

Jerry D'Arcey here for supper and to sleep over. (Last night's
hotel room was part of a package deal.)
He said he'd keep reminding Frank Thibault to send me CONTIGO.
He visited the publishers of THE OFFICIAL DEALER McDOPE DEALING GAME
to get a copy for me but they didn't have any ready.
He also saw another game - BEAT THE BORDER (Boulder Co. - in
Boulder, Col.). He wrote to Boulder, Col. but got his letter back -
insufficient address.
The game is based on smuggling dope over the border. The further
inland you bring it the more it is worth - but the more chance
there is of being caught.
Jerry is thinking of doing a game - SMUGGLING. I showed him
the English game - CONTRABAND.
While we were talking I worked on a new board for
ONE AT A TIME BY THE MILLIONS.

Wald called. The date Thursday is at B. and B., not 200 5th.
John Rasor's sect. at Xerox called. Someone asked them where to
buy PURE GREED. Gave her Createk's address.

Called Earl. He had an idea for a Tennis GAME played with cards.
Also a game BLACKOUT (told him the name has been used) based
on plugging appliances (toy) into a circuit until someone blows the
fuse. Told him that the second would be quite salable if he can
work it out. Suggested working, and splitting, with Al Richter. He'll
let me know.

Looked up an old game idea of mine - THE ROAD TO WAR and
