28 FRIDAY - JULY 1972
210TH DAY - 156 DAYS TO COME

Call from Earl about 9. He suggested changing THE BRAIN GAME
to getting baseball teams and try to sell it to bubblegum manufacturers.

Later I thought of the following idea for THE BRAIN GAME.
When a player lands on another for a forced trade, he may
trade in different categories by trading 2 cards for 1.
Another possibility, substituting $6,000 for a card.

Felicia called. She realized that she gave Alex Cockburn the
only copy of BALI with the old (I think) packaging. She
asked me to tell him to return it to her for a new set.
(Yesterday). She spoke to him today and it is O.K.

Thought of ideas for EXECUTIVE DECISION to take care of
the problems Karen Kelley wrote about. (Loans and a low bid limit).

Deposited the Random House and the Stancraft royalty in Dollar.

Rcd. the game TRIPPPLES and also from Lakeside rcd: CHAOS,
SPLIT LEVEL AGGRAVATION, and the 6 IMPUZZABLES.

Eve Auchincloss called in answer to my calls of earlier in the
week. Checked when my column was promised. We had
agreed on Aug. 15, but she said the end of Aug. would be
O.K. if I am in a bind. BOOK WORLD.
Thanked her for recommending me to NEW YORK but told her
that I didn't think I could handle their style. She said
that the content was the important thing and that I really
should try to do something for them, if I was interested in
continuing with writing.

Fred Feucht called. Hallowell (Gametime) is bankrupt. Fred will try to
sell the 6 p. & p. games (XANDO, etc.). He'll start with M.B., where
he has an in.

Spent most of the day going thru the material from WOMAN'S DAY
and finally came up with an idea for the game they want -
ONE AT A TIME BY THE MILLIONS. Made some rough equipment and
tried it with BB. Worked pretty good. Started working on
finished equipment.
