Call from Felicia. She had a pleasant letter from Kathy Brooks.
Because of Keith's troubles the panel testing of J'ACCUSE
and FOREIGN INTRIGUE was held up. There will be an answer by
April 15th.
Felicia wrote to Jim Kraus asking if they wanted to see
TORTS - THE GAME OF LAWSUITS again. She didn't even get an answer.
She has pretty much decided that it isn't very
interesting as a game - too specialized in its interest.
I told her that it was a lot better than POINT OF LAW in my
opinion.
She rcd. the financial statement on Leisure Dynamics from
Hank Simmons. They appear to be in good shape.

Lech Pijanowski's book PRZEWODNIK GIER, and a folded
sheet booklet ORIGAMI. The book is just about the most
comprehensive collection of games I have ever seen. He has
FOCUS and SLAM in the book, with my name mentioned. But he
didn't include AGOG in the bibliography.
Lech had a game called TANGRAM which I figured to be
a game of placing the pieces from one set of TANGRAMS
onto a field until a player can't place one. I thought of each
player having his own set and having a board divided into
different areas for 2, 3, and 4 players. The last player
to place a piece wins.

Rcd. an ad from Publishers Central Bureau which included
two books I would like to order : -
MATHEMATICAL DIVERSIONS by Hunter &
ILLUSTRATED GAMES OF PATIENCE a facsimile
of Lady Cadogan's original 1870 book.

Rcd. NOST-ALGIA #142. Contained an
article on UNAMBIGUOUS 3-SYMBOL CHESS (U-CHESS).
Also one on variants of INTERNATIONAL CHECKERS.

Bill Rawlings had another CRISS-CROSS
puzzle, this time on "Games People PLay". I couldn't place five of
the entries - VETO, KAOOA, SIXEACE, TEDCO3D, COMPROMISE.
Also included were MATE, TRUC, ACQUIRE, VENTURE, LAP.

Fred Feucht called. It seems that nobody likes the name TOURNEY - also
getting pictures presents a problem. We tried to come up with
another name, but without success.
Fred asked if Marshall Lucas had contacted me, which he hadn't.
Fred said he was in Monday and now is out of town for a while. Next
time they are together Fred will remind Marshall about me.
Herb Hochstetter and Fred prepared a study for M.B. suggesting that
they go in for adult board games.
