Thought of a Game, tentative name COUNTERPOINT. Play on a 5 x 5 field with 5 chips each of 5 different colors. The chips are started at random. Each player in turn switches the position of two chips. He may not, how- ever use either color his oponent just used. Object is to form configurations of a color in one of shapes shown. [diagram drawn of 5 x 5 grid; top row of 5 squares each contain white circle; bottom left corner has five black circles in cross shape; bottom right corner has four shaded circles in square shape.] In the case of the [square] the fifth chip of that color must be completely separate from the [square] with not even a diagonal connection. Also a square is not score if it is left by removing the fifth chip. The first time a configuration of a parti- cular shape and color is formed it counts 5 points; the next time 4 points; etc. down to 1 point which it continues to be worth.
