MONDAY 22 SEPTEMBER
Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement 1969 265th day - 100 days to come
Rcd. letter from Jared Johnson. Is very busy but would like to
do some work in STRATEGY & TACTICS.
Rcd. the rest of the material on LENSMAN. Looks like a
well worked out game.
Rcd. another advertisement for A GUIDE TO FAIRY CHESS.
Called John Geiger and he called me back. Made date to go
there Oct. 11.
He is working on a game of METRO MOSAIC which is based on
matching colors. It won't be out for a while yet.
The 2-hand LOGI-QUAD GAME SYSTEM is doing fairly well.
It will be in Brentano's Catalog (which is also a supplement
with the New York Times and the Wall St. Journal. He is also
making up a special run for Creative Playthings. They
suggested some changes and he rewrote the rules. He will
send me a copy so I can use it in my write up for
S. & T. The 4-hand is not selling so far. He offered to send
me a set but I'll pick up when we get together.
In the write up I'll simply state that it is available.
Jim Dunnigan called. He thought I was finishing my column
this week instead of next week. I told him Jared hadn't
rcd. the Aug.-Sept. issue of S. & T. yet and then suggested that
I would send him one of mine when I wrote.
Told Jim that I rcd. and liked LENSMAN. He would like me
to write a review on it, as sort of a favor. We decided
to leave it for a later issue when I can devote more space to
it.
Wrote letters to Al Samuels- about my previous letter on
eliminating the dice in TOTALLY - - .
Bill Caruson, thanking him again, and sending him
the Aug.-Sept. issue of S. & T.
Kathy Brooks - givining her permission to keep ANOTHER
as long as she needs it.
S.W. Golomb - asking how to get a copy of his
VARIANTS & GENERALIZATIONS OF TIC-TAC-TOE.
