Spoke to Dan Monihan at Cadaco. I'll pick up DECISIONS, DECISIONS tomorrow.
Felicia called to ask if I'd please pick up my games be- fore she moves since she is afraid that the movers will damage them. Said I'd come tomorrow after work.
Rcd. the following from NOST: Membership card. Letter from Bob Lauzon. A questionaire to give my personal history. Rating system for all games. August 1969 issue of NOST-ALGIA (No. 112).
Not having heard from Tom Atwater since last Wednesday I called. Called his home first and his wife said he was at the office. Reached him there. He apologized for not sending the contract from Stancraft to me. He's been very busy. He'll send it to me tonight. He thinks the 3M foreign deal is a good deal. Usually half the domestic rate is given. I wondered what 3M gets out of it but Tom says they will be getting at least 10%. Tom says that Hank Simmons is in charge of acquisitions and, at least for the present, will not have anything to do with Lakeside game program. Tom gave me Hank's number in case I want to get in touch with him - [phone number]. I told Tom that since Hank has left Parker I would like him, Tom, to be my agent with Hank. When talking about the 3M games, Hank remembered that he had to contact the inventor of PHLOUNDER. 3M wants to cut the royalty to 3% and put it in the EduPlaytional line.
In Sears X'Mas catalog TWIXT and STOCKS & BONDS were the only 3M Bookshelf games listed. Stancraft's THE CROSS PUZZLE and MILL GAME were listed. (The former is solitaire on the 32-hole board. Prices are $4.50 & $5.50.) Took out the pages on the children's games. Includes ALL-PRO BASEBALL, HOT WHEELS WIPE-OUT RACE, GAME OF LOVE.
