Stopped off at the MB showroom at 200 Fifth. Asked for and received a copy of SWAHILI for reviewing. (At home I found that one piece was missing. I impro- vised one from the plastic "flash.")

When Bernie Newman didn't call me I called him. He hadn't seen Shelly yesterday. They expect to meet over the weekend and Bernie will contact me withe the re- sults.

Rcd. a card from Warren Buell. Nothing about games.

[crossed out line] Rcd. a package from Jim Dunnigan with 3 copies of Vol. III, No. 2 of STRATEGY & TACTICS; the article knocking him from EYE Magazine; the rules for STAR TREK GAME by Lou Zocchi; and a letter and article on OH-WAH-REE by Jared Johnson. Called Jim and arranged to go to the office bldg (159 Madison Ave - at 32nd St.) where he works at night. He ran off 6 copies of MARTELLE - THE NEW PARLOR GAME and kept one. We discussed my next column and he liked the idea of reviews of strategy games for X'Mas giving. So far I decided on using FEUDAL, SWAHILI, TRI-NIM, MONAD, and 3-D CHESS. He can give me up to 3 pages. Jim thinks I should write to Jared Johnson and decide how I can make use of him as an assistant. Jim game me three more copies of STRATEGY & TACTICS.

Rcd. a letter from Susan Vibert of PACE Magazine. The X'Mas issue will have a major article on new games. Wants information on my games and a copy of my book within less than 3 weeks.

At office ran off three sets of repros of the TROMINO GO game in S&T.

When I got together with Jim Dunnigan we discussed my coming to his house on Fridays and using some of his guests to test games for my reviews.
