6/24 WEDNESDAY 25 JUNE 1969 176th day - 189 days to come

Claude called and then brought over two games and two European card game. $4.50, but gave him $5. Left them in the office overnight.

Felicia called. The gal who is trying to put together the large game com- pany wanted to know what Gamemasters put out. STUDENT SURVIVAL.

To Felicia's at 3:00. { Diane Hoisel Robert Warren Associates 929 Park Ave. New York, N.Y. 10028 [phone number] (Both day and evening.)

was there and told me that her company was trying to assemble a good sized game company so that a big company could then take it over. Discussed Games Research and Felicia and I didn't think Moot's ego would go for the idea. Felicia brought up BROKER and I said X has an agreement to go with it. Felicia wasn't aware of it. Talked about Campaign Games. I'm going to have Claude call her. I told her WATCH was great but CAMPAIGN wasn't much. Told her that CONCENSUS was a good. Also mentioned BEELINE. Told her that Createk would be a good line to get ahold of and that they were in financial difficulty. Felicia thinks that they have already been bought. On way to subway Diane talked some more. I'll call her with ad- dresses and more ideas if I come across them. She said that once they get going they would look at new games. When I mentioned that I did consulting work she was interested. Felicia loaned me the rules and letter distribution for CINQ-MARS. Read them on subway. Brought Felicia two prints of the new game record sheet. She was very happy with it. Harvey Gardner of MECHANICS ILLUSTRATED came to interview us. Said that the emphasis would be the fun in games, but that it wouldn't be very long. Will be in the September issue. He seemed interested in FOCUS and will ask for a copy at Whitman. He has a copy of ACQUIRE from 3M and says he'll try it. Felicia gave him a copy of BALI.

To Brentano's. Saw no copies of ACQUIRE and TWIXT, only one of STOCKS & BONDS. Plenty of BAZAAR and others. Saw 3D TIC-TAC-TOE (VIP productions). A 3 x 3 x 3 board. Two play placing marbles in turn till 27 are filled. Score 1 point for each line of 3. Saw SKY HIGH (Skor-mor). 15 differently shaped blocks are used sim- ilar to BLOCKHEAD. Dice are used to determine the type of piece the player must place. 2 or 12 gives the opportunity to try to place all the remaining pieces "Go Sky High." 4 or 10 gives a choice. Other numbers call for a specific shape and size. If a player causes blocks to fall each of the other players scores 1 point for each piece remaining in the stock pile. A player who places the 15th piece safely scores 15 points. (cont. on 6/24)
