SATURDAY 21 JUNE
First Day of Summer 1969 172nd day - 193 days to come
Rcd. the following:
The material on Time/Motion Studies on Avalon Hill type
games from Jim Dunnigan.
The TAKE-FIVE contract from Stan Harris. Also a check
for $120.00, which came in an envelope marked "The Learn-
ing Aids Group, Inc.
The repro of the book jacket from Barbara. They goofed
on some of the copy.
A form to sign which transfers my contract from Pantheon
to Random House.
Spoke to Claude. Told him about yesterday's meeting with Arthur
and Wald.
(cont. from 6/27) [6/27]
In Felicia's second call she said that Harvey Gardner
(see 6/25) called to check on Whitman's exact name,
she thinks he will give FOCUS a good plug.
Played quite a few games of TEMPO with Phil. He liked
it though I won every one. He didn't think the
"priviledge" was necessary. Later I pretty much decided
to eliminate "continuous priviledge" and therefore the
necessity of the special holes. Will also change the one
allowable "priviledge" move as follows: It cannot be
used if the player has no other move available. It can-
not be used to make a capture. The piece can be
moved to any other unoccupied space on the board.
Played a few games of ODD OR EVEN with Phil. He
didn't care as much for it.
Played one game of INTERPLAY. He liked it.
