FRIDAY 13 JUNE Sacred Heart 1969 164th day - 201 days to come
To Felicia's at lunchtime. Signed the RED LETTER contract. There were only two cpies so Felicia kept ours. Looked at CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE again. Still couldn't quite follow the ending. Jim Connor was in in the morning to look at CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE. Much too expensive for M.B.'s line. Felicia said that she had told Bill Burke that is was very expensive. Connor didn't think too much of Burke. Bill Garrity sent a catalog and a very nice letter. He will be in town to look at things soon. The only game of adult level in the Cadaco catalog is STADIUM CHECKERS. A Wall Street group is trying to get a number of small companies to join up and then be taken over by a big company that wants to move in big. Mr. Spellman of Championship Games is willing. Games Research is still thinking about it. Looked at the letter from Parker acknowledging receipt of THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS. It was signed by Constance Herrick and said it was being considered by the R&D dept. and that we would hear from Mr. Simmons soon with the decision. Sid Blazer, who was recommended by Longo of S&R, will bring in his TWISTER elaboration. It is called OCTOPUS. He will also bring a puzzle word GAME which Longo was in- terested in, provided some changes were made. Blazer changed it, but in other ways. Blazer will also bring other things for her to look at. Mr. Williams, who did the mirror manipulating TANTALIZER, has a word game, CINQ-MARS, which should arrive shortly. Took the rules and pictures for a game called VENTURE by David L. Karpal. It is a very uninterist card Stock Market game. Karpal is interested in I-S manufacturing the sets and also in their marketing them.
Felicia called in afternoon. CINQ-MARS came. There is a set of flat sticks with 3 letters on each. Each player gets 5 sticks and tries to make a 5-letter word. If no one can form a word another stick is given to each. I'll look at it next time I go there.
Barbara called. After the meeting about the dummy we will get together on some questions from the printer.
Stan Harris didn't call about our meeting next Monday.
Rcd. a letter from Haar Hoolim. He rcd. a complementary copy of BOARD & TABLE GAMES 2 from Bell.
