Finished the SNAFU rules and BB typed them. Looked at A TO Z again (see 4/29). There are 52 (I think) keywords and 7 words that are hyphenated either before or after. Once a player places a keyword on his mat, either in start or finish position, he must then draw a word that fits in the proper position. He also has position for 8 words to be put aside for possible later use. Seems to be no scope for skill. There are also other series of luck cards and the total number of cards is over 650.

To simplify THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS decided to eliminate the color chips (which identified the players and indicated, generally, a choice of two dials which are pointed to by the rays on the previously played dial) and just place a black dot next to one ray on each dial. This indicates the dial the next player may move. Didn't get a chance to try it. Made the mounting board and one dial for a new set.

Rcd. a letter from Warren Buell. He has a good chance of getting to a meeting in N.Y.C. on June 9th and wonders if we can get to- gether. Wrote him saying it would have to be the afternoon of June 7th, but that we would love to see him then.

Wrote to Bob Claude with my comments on DIGIT.

Stan Harris over for supper. Gave him back SNAFU with the instructions I wrote. He liked them. He took back A TO Z. Even without my bad report he completely lost in- terest when he saw how many cards were involved. They will be sending me a rough draft of a contract for TAM-BIT.. 4 1/2%. The box end will say "A Sid Sackson Game." They will be doing TAM-BIT as part of a $2 line which will include SNAFU and 3 children's games. They want another adult level game to even it out. Showed FREE FOR ALL to Stan and he liked it. Wants that as the 6th game. I'll get the good model from Felicia. To cost out TAM-BIT he would like to eliminate the 3-hand and also the different colored chips for 4-hand. At first I argued, but fin- ally agreed. (This way I won't have to test them out, at least.) I'll fix up the rules to cover team play and get them to Stan together with the FREE FOR ALL. He'll send a messenger to pick it up at the office. Incidentally we both agreed that FREE FOR ALL might be a little juvenile in appearance and I'll come up with another. He is still working on getting AIRLINE to cost out at $5 list, even tho he'd like it for more. Me too. He was on his way after leaving me to pick up Phil Orbane's games at Mr. Ceyce's. They are going to put my name on the box ends - "A Sid Sackson Game." Jim Dunnigan called just before Stan left and they talked awhile. Then I spoke to Jim. (cont. on 5/26)
