SUNDAY 25 MAY Whitsunday 1969 145th day - 220 days to come

With BB's help went thru the games in the review section getting the (R) and TM information. Got most of it done, with some educated guesses, except for a number of tele- phone calls that will be required tomorrow.

Called Bob Abbott and Phil to tell them I was sending the release form for CROSSINGS and PAKS. O.K. with them. BB typed the releases and we mailed them with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to send directly to Barbara Francis.

BB and I tried SNAFU. Played quite a few games but they all ended with control of the Grand Diagonal. Called Stan Harris to tell him this. Wanted to make some changes in the spinner, but it is all printed and no changes can be made. Suggested that a throw of the opponent's color give the player a choice of his two colors. Stan sug- gested allowing play in the opponent's colors. BB and I tried it but that made completing the game meaningless. Then I came up with the idea of giving a player throwing the opponent's color a choice of passing or of placing opponent's chips in his spaces (in order to complete rows). Also decided to give bonuses for the different types of wins, except for the Grand Diagonal. Stan said that they were ready to draw up a contract for TAM-BIT and would send me a draft soon. Still trying to cost out AIRLINE at $5. Stan & I agree it should be $6 or higher, but Wechsel & Lubow want it as cheap as possible. Stan will come here Tuesday to pick up the rules for SNAFU.

In morning tried [crossed out] THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS again with BB. Still couldn't get it right.

N.Y. Times had an ad for COMPUTER GAMES, 3 books for $3.88. { KOMPUTER PASTIMES CO. BOX 346, CHERRY HILL, N.J. 08034 DEPT. A-1
