Felicia called. She told me that Mr. Johnson, of International
Learning Corp., remarked how well I looked yesterday. She
also apologize for running off so quickly after we were fin-
ished at Parker. Gave me the following report:
Milton Bradley: Bill Burke was a particularly nice person. He
developed quite a few games but ROLOMATIC BRIDGE is the
first that M.B. used. He took the following with him:
DYNAMITE (really liked it); PITFALL; TOTTER (liked it);
STACK STICKS; NOAH'S ARK & SPACESHIP ORBIT (took only the rule-
they'll make their own models).
They don't look at board games, feeling that they can devel-
ope their own.
M.B. has bought Playskool.
SWAHILI is not selling very well.
She showed him THESE UNITED STATES and he didn't care for it.
In a conversation with Hank Simmons he also told her that
THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS could be another INSTANT INSANITY.
3M. They are having her send IMAGE, COMBAT PATROL, and
COUNTER INTELLIGENCE (They had looked at a similar one called
PILLAGE but it was too complicated.)
DIAL AND LEARN is their new name for CHICKEN OR EGGHEAD [arrow drawn to indicate "EGGHEAD OR CHICKEN" is title].
Will said that the card games would make us rich.
They would like a card travel game where the ac-
tual sights are important. They are thinking of a new
"Travel Line."
Will complained again about our using the name
SPELLBINDER since there had been a game SPELLBOUND,
which I knew of, but it hasn't been around for years.
Bill Caruson also told her that ACQUIRE is their best game.
HIGH BID and BAZAAR are safe at least till next year.
G. & R. is sending Felicia a copy of SENSITIVITY. They told her
that WHAT'S THAT ON MY HEAD? just wasn't selling.
She would like me to send her a reproduction of the
rules for DANGER STRAITS. Her set was lost.
She has a game COMPETITION which was invented by some
school children and sent in by their teacher.
Some game ideas during day:
Astrology GAME: Birthday gives traits which are helpful for
harmful for various game undertakings. Position of stars,
which can be influenced, also affect chances.
TRIAD : Why not go ahead with making it into a special
deck for 3M.
SPACEWAYS :- Some new ideas for this trading type game
with the 60 planets. Will work it out in the near future.
DRILL FOR OIL: Insert penalty and reward cards among the oil-
