5/10 5/9 WEDNESDAY 14 MAY Rogation Day 1969 134th day - 231 days to come
Stan Harris called. They are almost ready to go with SNAFU and would like the rules by the end of next week. He'll call me at the beginning of next week to set up a date for him to pick them up and also to bring me another game to look at. They have got TAM-BIT costed out to sell at $2. They are trying to get AIRLINE to cost out at $5 but are having trouble. Soon they will get me over to discuss contract terms. He thinks they will agree on 4 1/2%.
To Felicia's for a long lunch. Brought Felicia the record
forms I made yesterday.
Andrew Luftig there with a number of games.
ANIMAL HUNT and NOAH'S ARK are for very young children.
The latter has a vertical stand with animals at different
levels. Children can try for an animal at any level
and draw a card. If an animal they need they take it
and place it on their card. Certain cards represent
"rain" and when drawn the water level (like a green shade)
rises, eventually covering level after level. When all
have been covered, player with most of his animals wins.
MOON SHOT: A plastic moon is rotated by a mechanical
device. Spaceship shaped darts are shot at it. If they
hit one of the numerous [crossed out] metal discs the mag-
netic tip fastens on and scores the value of that
disc. Otherwise they bounce off.
COMBAT PATROL - a simple war game. (Reproduced the
rules and sketched the board.
INTRIGUE - which Felicia changed to COUNTER-INTELLIGENCE
since M.B. has the T.M. on Intrigue - Andrew told us.
A rather interesting spy game. (Reproduced complete game).
He also mentioned SPACESHIP ORBIT which is a chase
game played on a vertical cut-away spaceship. Magnetic
pcs. allow the paths to go up the walls and on the
ceiling.
UNDERSEA ADVENTURE. Three plastic boards are mounted
vertically. Scuba divers start on the top layer,
move to holes, and finally make their way to the
bottom layer when they try to capture monsters out
of caves. The monsters are put in the caves secretly in the
and some of the higher scoring ones take two divers to cap-
ture them. If one attempts it he is put out of the
game.
Two women came to take Felicia to lunch and waited
while we finished. I goofed by saying "that bunch of crooks"
when Andrew said he is showing a game to "Toy Guidance."
Felicia and I tried to cover it up.
Felicia called later to tell me who the two women were. They were
from a financial company who is looking for the game
