FRIDAY 7 MARCH 1969 66th day - 299 days to come

Reproductions of a number of columns from Richard Moon and a letter from him to Gene Plotnik asking his help in syndicating the column came. The columns were taken directly from com- pany handouts. His column on MONOPOLY had nothing about THE LANDLORD'S GAME. (Filed this material in Misc. box.)

Rcd. the 3M forms from Felicia. Later in day she called me. Arnold Shapiro had called her. He had been trying to con- tact her to get together but he had no time now. However he said that the game program had moved "from the back burner to the front burner." He is just about positive that they will be at next year's toy fair. Felicia told him about the rumor I heard yesterday about the educational games. It was news to him. He said that when they are ready on the games we will hear from them by phone, not by rumor. Felicia didn't ask him about the status of RED LETTER.

I called Anne Souci about the good news from X. Claude was supposed to call me. In evening called Arthur to keep in touch. They are working on further extensions of THREE. I told him that I might be in a position some day soon to help him get his games published.

Started working on the diagrams for the book. Spent most of day at it.

(cont. from 3/6) [3/5] S&R. BEHIND THE 8-BALL. A POKER variation with a board on which hands are formed and an 8-ball which gives hands which must be beat. (There were no rules available.) TIC TAC TOWER. Another game on a 4 x 4 x 4 board. For 2 or 3 (I believe). TUMBLE NUMBLE. The game I have already. They have taken it over. WHAT'S UP? - Guessing letters in a phrase till it is discovered. BALI - They list it as a new one. (see 1969 Ad Clips.)

Lowe. GURU. Played on a board as shown. The old game of GO-MOKU or PEGITY with provision (I believe) for only two players. [diagram of dots and lines connected, downward-pointing arrow on left labeled "11 points," right-pointing arrow on top labeled "11 points"]

GLOBETROTTER. An imitation of Kohner's TROUBLE. Instead of a "popper" there is a plastic globe mounted in the center with a die in it. WHIRL-A-WORD. There is a roulette wheel with letters in- stead of numbers and about 5 (the salesman wasn't sure) (cont. on 3/8)
