THURSDAY 13 FEBRUARY 1969 44th day - 321 days to come

Called Felicia and had her read Bill Caruson's letter to me (see 2/7), since I didn't get my copy. Nothing else in it more than she told me last week. She just rcd. a letter from Bob Claude. They find that SPELLBINDER runs too long to hold the interest:- 2 hours for 2, 2 1/2 hours for 3 or 4. They would like it reduced to 1 to 1 1/2 hours. He also suggested some changes in the letter distribution, which I took down (since I don't know if I'll ever get it). In order to make the test marketing next fall it must be ready for him to take back with him on March 7. She rcd. a letter from the state of Connecticut. They are in- terested in a GAME about retirement. They were told to contact her. They are interested in some kind of an old age MONOPOLY. The federal gov't will put some money in the pro- ject. Felicia asked if I was interested and I said sure, if it will be in a few months. She said that the way govern- ments work, it will be a lot longer. Felicia and I agreed that she will quote a fee of $25 an hour (her fee when she does consultation work) and that I-S will get 25%, which I think is quite fair. Incidentally, the letter mentions that there will be consultations in which their ideas will be ex- plained.

Looked for THE MASTER BOOK OF MATHEMATICAL RECREATIONS in all the Greenwich Villiage book stores. Couldn't find it.

Brought TRIPLE JUNCTION for $1.99 at Brentano's - marked down.

Rcd. a letter from: { Samuel J. Disera 207 Youngs Ave. Joliet, Ill. 60432 He saw my FOCUS game by Whitman. He is a game inventor and would like my help in marketing them.
