Renwal still hasn't approved the budget so I can't  <br>
start working yet. Jim thinks that 6 hours a month is not  <br>
enough for me to accomplish much and he'll bring it up at  <br>
a meeting.  <br>
Discussed his doing a game for my book and he'll do  <br>
a very simple war <u>GAME</u>. Will have it ready in a week or  <br>
two. He wanted to use hexes but they are too  <br>
difficult to reproduce by hand. He'll use a brick pattern,  <br>
which is topologically the same instead.  <br>
Discussed my doing an article for STRATEGY & TACTICS.  <br>
Diecided that after March 15th I will do a review of  <br>
some good, non-war, strategy games. If it gets a good  <br>
reception it could become a regular feature.

BB called up ''Esquire'' Magazine office, asking how to get permission  <br>
to use <u>POKE</u> in my book. Girl was sure there would be no trouble.  <br>
Gave her the name of the lawyer in Chicago to write to.
