In Times Henri Bendel had an ad for <u>IL SOLITARIO</u>. It is another version of
board <u>SOLITAIRE</u>.
Also an article about New York City's licensing of games for amuse-
ment. Must have skill rather than luck.
Also an elaborate computerized management <u>GAME</u> played at N.Y.U.
<s>Gimbel's had</s> (Last two filed in "Periodicals" folder.)
Gimbel's had a booklet with a few pages of game ads. In-
cluded <u>BAZAAR</u> and <u>REGATTA</u>. Also <u>SPACE PROBE</u> (Crestline) which is the
old action game of rolling a ball up an incline by two rods to score
as high a score as possible. Also <u>MILL</u> by Stancraft ($5.99).
Took game pages from Sears Roebuck X'Mas catalog. Among other
games it had:- <u>MIND OVER MATTER</u>, <u>SQUARESVILLE</u>, <u>AVANTÉ</u>,
<u>ON GUARD</u> (an action game), <u>KOO-KOO CHOO-CHOO</u>, <u>AIR COMBAT GAME</u>
(action game of shooting down planes). (Filed in 1968 Ad Clips.)

Bought <u>19 ON L BOARD</u> (Dusyma). A 12 x 12 peg board with
pegs of 4 colors and dice. 18 games and one
passtime is included in the rules. (The English is
quite poor.) (A German import.)
Called Fabio Coen. Left word for him to call back but
he didn't.
Phil Orbanes over about 10:30 till 2.
Brought me a report on Toy Buying by A.J. Wood Research Grp.
& also a survey conducted by Phil thru his school.

Article on business aspects of games from ''Barron's''.
He brought me rules for the following games but said they
were not complete and that he would be sending me
completed rules to evaluate in a week or two.

These 4 games plus the none-war <u>CONFRONTATION</u> and
