MONDAY 14 OCTOBER 1968
288th day - 78 days to come

Claude borrowed my copy of THE PLAY OF MAN THE

Called home from Newbourgh, N.Y. Dale told me that Jerry
D'Arcey had called and left a number to reach him, collect.
Tried a few times during the evening but couldn't get him
at his hotel room.

Played 4 games of PLANK with BB. Good.

Played Claude's SOCK IT TO ME It consists of a toy. port with a loose flat cover which has a hole in it
a cover with a hole in the center of it. He places
the cover upside down then places four different
colored plastic figures up against the rim, 90° apart.
There is a plastic hammer. Players in turn strike the pot
three times with the hammer. They try to knock it so
that their color figure figure goes thru the center hole and the
other players off the edge. There should be a path board
with 15 spaces for each of the four colors. The movement along
the paths is determined as follows : - The player can only
move by putting his own figure thru the center hole.
He moves 5 spaces minus one for each opponent's piece
not knocked over the rim. Also if an opponent's piece is
knocked thru the center hole that opponent moves one
space. Also if the player knocks the pot off the stand
altogether he goes back to the start of the path.
(Not bad as an action gavne.)

In Hudson saw a new game by Hasbro - WHODONIT?
Couldn't see anything since it was wrapped in plastic. It
may be a party type game. It is definitely different than
the one put by Cadaco with the same or similar name.
