To Adler's Foreign Books, Inc. 162 Fifth Ave. (691-5151) Didn't have much in the way of games. Bought a German book for 75¢. KARTENSPIELE von Theodor Müller-Alfeld.

Brought EXECUTIVE DECISION, FITTING & PROPER, ANOTHER, & WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU? to Alice. The first she is sending out, of course, to 3M. I suggested that the second might be good for S&R. When she sees Mr. Luongo she will sound him out. They have almost made up their mind to let S&R take over BALI. They will get 10% on the first 50,000 (I think) ad 5% thereafter. The inventer agreed to take 2 1/2% straight. The third she thinks might be go for Whitman but we'll wait to see what they do with FOCUS. The fourth she will send to X.

To Brentano's. Saw POST TIME (c) 1967 J. Parisi Co., Staten Island. A horse race game with a complicated looking board and a set of cards. The race consists of drawing three cards for each horse in the race. These cards are placed into gadgety "movement calculators" which sum up the "time" of the horse. The horses are placed on the board in ac- cordance with the cards. There is betting after the first and 2nd cards are used but before another round af- ter each player sees his third card but before they are used. The third round is in sequence and the betting is sup- posed to give the following players a hint. Under certain circumstances a horse that is behind can win by drawing a "dark horse" card as the third card. (Rough idea - but game seems to be complicated without being interesting.)

Alice had a letter from Bob Claude. THESE UNITED STATES is going to the play testing panels and has a chance. They will soon get to a consideration of FLINGERS.
