TUESDAY 3 SEPTEMBER 1968
247th day - 119 days to come
Spoke to Claude, told him the bad news about
EXECUTIVE DECISION Discussed a possible NYGA meeting
next Tuesday at Cerima. One of us will contact the Amberstones.
Claude has worked out a GAME based on the "duel
problem" of game theory. Two dice are used. The player
going first can "shoot" by throwing the dice or may pass.
If he pas shoots" he needs a 13 to hit! If he "shoots and . ... misses the other he is then autimatically "killed if the
first player passes the second may "shoot" with a llor 12 needed to hit, Etc
He has another version with each player having two bullets and using 3 dice...
He also wants to make a game out of the game theory ...problem of three duelists one who is 100% accurate, one who is 8070, and one who is 50%. Lots are drawn tor the order in which they shoot and they shoot one shot in a turn , at either lopponent they wish. It all play it rationally the player who is 50% accurate has the best

called Felicia about EXECUTIVE DECISION suggested showing it to Championship. She said they are in financial ditficulty. PRO-QUARTERBACK • has been hurt badly by 3M'S PRO. FOOTBALL Later Felicia called me back. There was a letter from Bill Carusou. He thinks the basic idea of EXECUTIVE DECISION is excellent but they find the bookkeeping detracts from the fun. Feel the same about STOCKS & BONDS. Hope that my genius will come up with some thing.lum Sent myself a registered letters with SPELLBINDER rules. Red, a carbon copy of Bill's letter to Alice Also redo a letter from David Laughridge at saying they'd like to hold onto ANOTHER, FITTING & PROPER, TOTALLY --, and WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU? a while longer before making... a decision, Called Alice to tell her of Laughridge's letter, she told me that I ...She had red, Bill Caruson's letter last Friday but hadn't told me about it so that I could relax over the long week
und she never thought I would get the game so soon.
Called Claude to to tell him EXECUTIVE DECISION was very much alive.
In my talk she tho with Alice she thought it might be a
good idea to show it to S & R. I told her I had to get
BB satisfied with it first.
