FRIDAY 26 JULY
St. Anne 1968 208th day - 158 days to come
Call Nick Politis Nick Politis. Playboy is doing an artical [article] on "Toys
Adults Play With." Nick convinced the editor to include games.
He wanted to know what games were selling well. I mentioned a
few and then said I'd check with Alice and he said he'd call
me back. I spoke to Alice but didn't get any further info.
She did check the BAZAAR contract and it does have the consulta-
tion provision. Nick called again & I mentioned a gadget that
Alice told me about that was popular at Brentano's. that By
chemicals it makes constantly changing colored patterns.
Made reproductions of the three Polish columns. Gave a set to Rimski
who might have a chance to have a friend translate some of
it during the weekend.
The VENTURE CAPITAL registered letter came.
Claude and Anne over in evening. Didn't play any games. Claude brought
along a paperback book he just bought. It has a lot of interesting
diagrams which could be worked up into games:-
THE SCIENCE OF DECISION-MAKING by Arnold Kaufman
McGraw-Hill-World University Library.
Claude also mentioned the there is a new edition of
THE COMPLEAT STRATEGYST which covers game theory for more than
2. Claude has the original edition and suggested that I might
want to look at it with the idea of getting a copy.
Claude saw the following games at $1.25 to $1.50 each:-
BATTA HAI, PEANUTS, 007. Asked him to pick up the former
for me.
