FRIDAY 12 APRIL 1968
Good Friday
103rd day - 263 days to come
At B & N saw MAKE UP YOUR MIND by Arthur Hanley. It is
listed as a game but actually is a party amusement
and consists of quite a few decisions on various subjects
and 3 possible answers for each. There is a scientific
discussion of the 3 answers.
THE WALK OF THE OYSTERS by Rex Mackey. A humorous
history of BRIDGE in the 20's etc. Culbertson, Jacoby, etc.
Called Alice to ask her about her and Ruth's EduPLAYtional Games.
Hers - CLIFF HANGER RACE : - A quiz game with a board
path. If you miss enough questions you can be forced
off a cliff at one end of the path. There are different
"events" such as 100 yard dash, mile run and ribbons
for the winners. (Rough idea.)
Ruth's - DONDE ESTA? : - Question and answer cards in
Spanish. Win pesos foe being able to answer correctly.
(Very rough idea.)
Alice thinks I ought to get going on STATEMENT in order to
make the fall test marketing.
Rcd. letter from Arnold Shapiro acknowleding receipt of
SKILL CARRE rules.
Rcd. the two volumes of STRATEGOS from Jim Dunnigan so that
I can go thru my reproductions and fill in unclear parts.
He is in no hurry to get them back.
Thinking of variations for STATEMENT. A very simple one : - Players
in turn face a card from the state deck and try to find
it on the blank outline of the U.S.
