Called up Playthings about a subscription for 3M. I misunderstood them before when I thought the 1967 Directory was thrown in with $2 subscription. Actually it costs another $1. I told them to send it all for $3.

Went to Childcraft to pick up a catalog for 3M. Also looked at the games and saw A BIG TRAIN GAME (P.) There are 30 tiles with a single track that either runs from side to side across the tile or between adjacent sides. The tracks have railroad cars in various combinations of 4 colors. Some tiles have cabooses and some have engines. Players in turn draw a tile and place it on the talbe, if they feel unless they feel it doesn't have enough of their color, in which case they can discard it. If a tile doesn't fit onto the line I think the rules said that it could be put aside and another one drawn. This doesn't seem to have much point. When a caboose or engine is drawn it must be played unless it doesn't fit. When an engine and caboose have been added the game is over. Each player gets 1 pt. for each car in the completed train.
