N.Y.G.A. meeting @ Arthur's. Just Claude & me there.
Showed them DISPERSAL. Claude liked it but Arthur
said it didn't develope.
Claude showed a GAME IDEA based on the idea of
the 8 queens puzzle. Each player in turn places
a chip of his color in a space. In succeeding turns
a player may not place his chip in line, orthogonally
or diagonally, with a pc. of his own. Cont No Only
one pc. can be in any space. Continue until no player
can place a pc. Score for number placed. Play a
second round using different colors but leaving
the chips from first round in place.
The game was very limited in interest.
Arthur showed THREE on a smaller board and he
and Claude played a game. Rules are the same
as previously (see 1/17/64). The board used is as follows : -
[DIAGRAM DELETED] [DIAGRAM OF 23 CIRCLES CONNECTED VERTICALLY AND DIAGONALLY BY LINES. 9 ROWS AND 5 COLUMNS. THE OUTER COLUMNS AND THE CENTER COLUMN ARE 5 CIRCLES HIGH. THE OTHER TWO COLUMNS ARE 4 CIRCLES HIGH.]
Arthur said he'd get me colored paper for paper money
from the paper company where he works.
Claude returned GAME THEORY AND RELATED APPROACHES
TO SOCIAL BEHAVIOR, by Martin Shubik.
