13 SATURDAY - JULY 1974 194TH DAY - 171 DAYS TO COME

Played PAYOFF with BB using the idea #3 of yesterday. It definitely cut down on the X's.

Call from Alan Newman. He asked if it would be o.k. to come over some time, go over my games, and get repros of some of the rules, etc. He'll also bring me his copy of ANTI-MONOPOLY (which he doesn't like at all) and BIGWIG (which is very so-so). Told him that he is welcome to reproduce whatever he'd like, that I have BIGWIG and that I may be getting ANTI-MONOPOLY.

He asked if I knew of a game CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD and I said that I think I have something on it. He [illegible strikeout] said that he also seemed to remember coming across the name. (Why did he ask?) Later looked and couldn't find anything on it.

He asked if I'd seen the new D.D.I. games. Not really. He thought they were horrible.

He bought PRIZE PROPERTY (which he thinks is excellent) and KING OIL (which is not bad).

He said that if I had the chance I should take a look at a game B-O-C-Q, that he brought to Felicia. It is actually four games played with the same equipment - cubes with different numbers on the faces and also arrows - and four different boards (actually a fifth also, [illegible strikeout] blank, for those who want to make up their own game). BRACKET - a CHESS like game. When a piece is "bracketed" it is turned over to a lower number and the game is over when one piece reaches the bottom. Pieces move in the direction of the arrows and can bounce off the sides. (Very rough idea.) OSMOSIS - a CHECKERS like game. When an opponent is jumped, the jumping player has the choice of raising his own pc. or of lowering the jumped pc. (Very, very rough idea.) CLOG- QUIRK - a race game, which was the only one that Felicia liked, and because of it she kept the game.

Felicia, he said, was very depressed about the future of adult games. Alan feels that more and more games will be needed. I, unfortunately, had to agree more with Felicia.

Played 4-hand PAYOFF with Dave [illegible strikeout] Horn and the Laurence's. Then a second game with Barbara replacing Annette. Played well and they all liked it.

on all commodities on that side that he owns. Two "blocks" wis the game. Another way to win is to develop the same commodity on 11 (of the 20) countries. When a player has control of a country, another player landing on a court space - one on each side - can get a summons. When he lands on the same space as, or passes the opponent he serves the summons. They both send "agents" to court. The player serving the summons pay $1,000,000 $100,000 for each number on the
